- What the service does: The otoneurology service carries out a full assessment of patients with symptoms such as unsteadiness, vertigo and/or dizziness. It diagnoses, treats and rehabilitates through specialist studies such as videonystagmography-electronystagmography, rotational testing, computerised dynamic posturography, audiometry, speech audiometry, impedance testing, examination with Frenzel lenses, and vestibular rehabilitation: Balance Master and the Balance Rehabilitation Unit (BRU), among others.
- Conditions treated: Vertigo of peripheral or central origin, along with symptoms such as dizziness, a feeling of unsteadiness when walking, hearing loss, tinnitus, and others.
- Equipment and facilities: The unit has a computerised dynamic posturograph, videonystagmography equipment, Balance Master equipment, BRU (Balance Rehabilitation Unit) equipment, audiometry and speech audiometry equipment, among others.
