Dental technology is not only a science, it is also an art. It takes a true dental specialist to analyse a patient's needs and to make the most of both established and cutting-edge technology in order to offer complete, personalised care.
Dental technologies have evolved dramatically over the years. From the early invention of the simple toothbrush, which changed the course of dental hygiene, to the most recent advances brought by digital dental products, dentists have relied on these tools to give their patients the best possible care. They also have to be able to adapt these constantly changing technologies to our clinic and to its workflow.
While traditional dental X-rays used a film plate and radiation to capture and expose the images, new dental technology makes it possible to use digital X-rays, which keep radiation exposure and processing time to a minimum. In fact, these X-ray images are available instantly, which makes it easier and faster for the dentist to review the radiographs, advise the patient and plan the treatment. These images are also far more detailed than traditional ones, which keeps the risk of a wrong diagnosis to a minimum.
